The Evercoat 100709 Slick Sand polyester primer surfacer is an extra high-build, high-solids formula designed to fill large and uneven surfaces during automotive body repair. Capable of achieving up to 18 mils in multiple coats, it reduces the number of applications needed to create a smooth, uniform surface. Slick Sand adheres to fiberglass, galvanized metal, body filler, wood, and aluminum when epoxy-primed, offering broad compatibility across repair materials. It dries quickly, becoming sand-ready in approximately 2 hours at 70 to 72F or in 30 minutes when force dried at 140F. Once cured, it sands easily with 180 to 400 grit abrasives to produce a clean, pinhole-free finish. The primer is compatible with waterborne and solvent-based paint systems, meets 2.1 VOC requirements, and includes MEKP activator for proper curing.
