Many inner tie rod ends do not have a full hexagon structure along their entire length, and rounded ends can block wrench flats. The long socket slides over the tie rod end and connects seamlessly with the crowfoot wrench, allowing quick removal and installation of the inner tie rod without disassembling the steering rack.
