Simply unscrew the top, place your bearing in the center, screw the top back on, and press down on the handle to lubricate the bearing. All the lubricant stays in the container. Because the cup is transparent, it is easy to see how much grease you are putting in as well as how much grease is on the bearing, letting you know if you need to put more pressure on the handle.
