tried it on a newer type valve stem and it didn't work but it's a neat piece. it's a minimum 104 years old . also a great advertising piece. from Hawks auto equipment motor car supplies in Lansing Michigan. has a nice old leather carrying case too that snaps shut ( still ) . retired and still cleaning out my barn. thanks for looking!
