1979Trans AM with Oldsmobile 403 and automatic transmission V8 Blue Engine Color Paint - 1 can In the Late 1970's GM went to corporate Blue as the Engine Color Standard - Except there are like 5 different blues they used. They were all a solid blue color (no Metallic) but there are many versions or shades of the color. We have documented many 1979 Trans Am's with the Olds motor and NOW have the correct Corporate Blue for the 79 and with out a doubt it is the most correct color on the market. This color along with other versions or shades was used on all Pontiac's from mid 1976 to 81 also. This is custom made and put into a spray can so it is easy to use. It generally takes 2 cans to cover the entire engine but it is possible to get the job done with one can if the engine has base color.
