I did not need to use the tool because my sealent bead was not close to the door edge. This tool is required when installing Subaru Door Edge Guards on 2020-2026 cars. This tool is used to confirm there is sufficient clearance between the Door Edge and the Sealant Bead for proper seating of the Door Edge Guards.
